Supporting Our People: Logistics UK Launches New Mental-Health and Wellbeing Hub

Logistics UK Launches New Mental-Health and Wellbeing Hub

The logistics services UK industry has taken a major step forward in prioritising mental health and wellbeing.

Logistics UK has officially launched “Thrive”, a dedicated online hub designed to offer practical wellbeing support for everyone working within the sector — from drivers and warehouse teams to managers and office staff.

A Resource Designed for Everyone

The Thrive hub provides a wide range of easy-to-access materials covering topics such as:

  • Healthy eating and nutrition advice

  • Tips for better sleep and stress management

  • Exercise and physical wellbeing

  • Mental resilience and workplace support

The platform includes articles, toolkits, and videos developed with input from health professionals — ensuring the advice is relevant to the specific challenges faced in logistics and supply chain roles.

Why It Matters for the Logistics Industry

Long shifts, tight deadlines, and the physical nature of logistics work can all take a toll on mental health. Logistics UK’s acting chief executive, Kevin Green, highlighted the importance of the initiative, explaining that the organisation represents more than 22,000 member companies and understands how vital mental wellbeing is to keeping the sector running safely and efficiently.

Thrive is currently available to everyone in the logistics industry on a limited access basis, with full access provided to Logistics UK members.

What It Means for Gus Logistics

At Gus Logistics, we believe that taking care of our people is just as important as taking care of our deliveries. From our warehouse team to our drivers and office staff, every individual plays a vital role in keeping our business moving.

We’ll be exploring ways to integrate resources like Thrive into our internal wellbeing initiatives — offering additional support, training, and guidance to our teams across Cheshire and the North West.

When our people feel supported, they perform at their best. Investing in wellbeing isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s the smart thing to do.
